Care Guide
Care Guide
A little care goes a long way with hand-woven wool rugs. Here’s how to keep yours beautiful for years.
Daily
- Vacuum on the lowest setting without a beater bar, once or twice a week
- Rotate the rug every few months so it wears evenly and colors stay balanced
Spills & Stains
- Blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth — never rub
- For liquid spills, work from the edge toward the center
- Use a mild wool-safe cleaner for stubborn marks, then blot dry
Sun & Fading
- Natural dyes may soften with strong direct sun; rotate the rug and use curtains during peak sun hours to protect the color
Deep Cleaning
- Professional cleaning is recommended every 12-18 months for wool rugs
- Avoid steam cleaning, which can damage natural wool fibers
Underlay
- Use a rug pad to prevent slipping, reduce wear, and extend the life of your rug
Pets
- Trim pet claws regularly and remove pet hair with a low-suction vacuum
